The Flock, The Day and The Game

Good Morning,

Let's start with the game. No weight change this morning. That's two weeks for me on this little plateau. And, this is the last weigh in before Japan (I leave on Tuesday). I will be 12 pounds lighter than when I started my quest!! So, even though I didn't lose any this week, I am still proud of myself.

Regulars to the blog know that if they post a comment today, they will be entered into a drawing for a prize. I never really say what they will win, because I usually haven't decided that yet. Usually it's a new line of paper, and older line of paper and something fun to go with it. Today I am thinking of Fleuriste and Oh Joy with the Buck Naked ornaments so that the winner can make these cute birds if they wish.

The instructions are in the post below, if you didn't see that yesterday. And, I will do the wire holder tutorial, but probably not today.

Why, you ask?

I have kids home from school because of parent teacher conferences...... mine are in 30 minutes. Abby has a doctor's appointment at 10:30. I have a hair appointment at 1:30, but it's a two hour drive (that's a long story, I might have to share it sometime). Anyway, I don't expect to be able to breath all morning!

Well, I'm new to the blog and want to say congrats on the weight loss. I have lost over 110 pounds since June 2007, of course I had gastric bypass, but it still is hard to lose weight.
I'm looking forward to your future lines of paper. I recently found your papers and absolutely love them. I love the color combos! I want the Halloween and the Christmas sets. I think I'll start hanging out here more.
Thanks

Eveline said...

I love these projects too. I'm still not sure about Japanese food, I love cooked food but they say they also have that in Japan and not only sushi. But have fun.

I would so love to get the stuff to make that fabulous bird card. I'm thinking already of some amazing variation of this for my Christmas cards/New Baby Announcement. Kind of like a "Little Birdie" idea. I get it, but I may not be making myself clear. Great job maintaining your wait, that is half the battle in my book.

Brooke S. Rochon said...

Duh, that would be half the battle is maintaining your WEIGHT, not WAIT!

Well we are doing the weigh in at work EVERY Wednesday....this week was the first time that I've gone backwards :( Only by .4 but still, I think the scale is off! Someone lost 12 pounds! Then weighed again and it was only 2 pounds lost...lol.

At home I'm on the right track when I weigh so I'm trying not to stress about it. Seeing cute stuff like these clever birds gets my mind off the weight thing! :)

Have a great day (and Happy Halloweenie!!)

Is it too late to join in on the weighins? I have noticed the last few weeks that you do the weigh-ins and it's encouraging to see the results of all the different people. Since January I have lost 65 pounds. I am working on a goal of a 115 loss. If it's ok, I'll post my weighin next week as I am a member of TOPS and we weigh on Mondays. I'll just hold the results till Wednesday! :)

Love the birds and all the inspiration on the blog!
