Weigh in Wednesday!

Hi ladies,

First I would like to point out that nobody gave me a heads up yesterday as we discussed last week. I am remembering this Weigh in Wednesday all on my own! As has been the case for quite some time now, I did not lose or gain. But, since it's only been a few days since my last weigh in, I'm not surprised. How did you do? Or, is it too early to ask?

Most of you know the game, but if you're new leave a comment today and you can be entered to win our prize. What will we give away this week. HMmmmmm. How about a Be Good Paper crafting kit to make this fun project sent to us by Sarah Hodgkinson. Be Good was last years Christmas line, but it's still super cute! Then, I think the winner will also need Buck Naked Alphabuttons and Ornaments and something new to get excited about. I think maybe a Chemistry Paper Crafting kit would do the trick!

I weigh in for Weight Watchers on Thursdays, so I have no idea how I have done so far this week. I'm sure not well. I have trouble resisting the temptations of the holidays! Hope everyone else did well! :-)

I haven't weighed in yet, but after the oatmeal cookies I had for breakfast, I'm thinking maybe I should wait until tomorrow! :)

Shell said...

well I am the same.. but not surprised because I lost the plot exercise wise lately. hoping today is the day i get back into it

Planning on making a little mini album of my weight loss journey and i have decided to lose weight in 10 pound increments. As in I only need to lose 10 pounds (I wish). But when I have lost it.. then I only need to lose 10 pounds... etc etc

until i reach my goal..!!!! sounds much better saying that and working towards that - than saying I need to lose *mumbletoomany* pounds!!!!

Yesterday I pulled out my Wii Fit again and I gained 3lbs. since the last time I used it! Ugh! I think that thing was lying to me, what do you think? I am ok with temptations just not so good with excercise! Thanks for a chance to win an awesome prize!

what a fun project and prize! good luck with your weigh in!!!

Knowing how to maintain is important, too, so keep up the good work! I am supposed to go weigh in today, too, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make it tonight or not. I love this project!!!

I'm a lifetime WW member and did my monthly weigh-in yesterday - I'm happy to report that I was only .4 pounds over my goal weight this month. I figure if I had only gone to the washroom before stepping on the scale, I would've been bang on! Have a great week everyone!

Brooke S. Rochon said...

Julie, it occurred to me that it could be that maybe you aren't taking in enough calories to lose weight at the moment. For all the years I've done WW, that is one thing they recommend, eat a little bit more calories from fiber or something like that and see if the scale moves. May I just add that from your pictures, it is my opinion that you don't look like you need to lose any weight, you appear to be practically perfect. :)

Hi! This is my first time posting for weigh-in wednesday (what a cool idea, by the way). As of this morning, I'm down half a pound from last week. Yay me!

Tami said...

Still the same...I guess I am going have to exercise this week. I am such a slacker.

Becca said...

Still maintaining...which I am happy with!

Jessica Turner said...

I'm the same as last week! Some Cosmo products would make my step lighter though. :)

Heather said...

I'm doing better this week. Down 2, but a lot more to go unfortunately.

Jenn said...

one loss, no gain but I slacked on the exercise last week :( doing better this week

toniw said...

I'm the same as last week. No gaining is OK with me right now though, especially going into this season.

Best Wishes for fewer pounds! Maybe I should know the answer to this, but where can I find the instructions to make that adorable tree?

OK - I'm a Weigh in Wednesday newbie so today is my starting point. Love the support AND ideas on the site!! Hoping for something positive next week (in time for Thanksgiving!!).

My baby (23) is getting married this saturday and having a DECADENT DESSERTS reception...MOTHER of the groom (moi) is cooking many (too many) of the sweets. Needless to say, I DREAD waddling to the scale today!

I WOULD however LOVE the giveaway. :-)

I just love the little tree and snow man. No diet updates today for me. LOL However, would love to win the giveaway.

Beverley Todd said...

ohhhhhh! that's beautiful!
I'm stuck too ... 7lbs under my starting weight!! That's better than 7lbs over tho' I s'pose! LOL

Julie said...

Hi Brooke,

Thanks for the compliment. I definitely eat enough calories. Wish that were the problem though!!

Here is my dirty little secret. I am a pear. If I keep the camera above my thighs I look much slimmer than I really am. ;) OOOh and A-line skirts. These are my best friends!!

But, never fear, I have plans to shrink my lower half. And, one of these weeks I'm going to follow through on them. Lol.

Julie said...

Hi Mathstamp,

I don't actually have instructions, but I'll bet they are on the web somewhere. I'll see what I can dig up.

Kristin said...

Tossed all of the leftover Halloween candy and skipped the cake at two kids' brithday parties in the past week... so that means I lost, right? Nope - stayed the same. Ugh.

Must come up with a plan for the holiday season as I am already attending three cookie swaps!

I thought I'd pass on something somebody sent me a couple years ago.

Don't Quit!
When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down
And you feel like the biggest failure in town;
When you want to give up just because you gave in
And forget all about being healthy and thin;
So What! You went over your points a bit;
It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit!

It's a moment of truth, It's an attitude change;
It's learning the skills to get back in your range;
It's telling yourself "You've done great up till now;
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."
It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal;
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.

To stumble and fall is not a disgrace
If you summon the will to get back in the race;
But, often the strugglers when losing their grip
Just throw in the towel and continues to slip
And learn too late when the damage is done
That the race wasn't over and they still could have won.

Life-style change can be awkward and slow
But facing each challenge will help you to grow;
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint in the cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit;
If you bite it you write it... But don’t you quit!

I attempted to start this week losing the baby weight (4 babies in the last 5 years), finally. However, this is a terrible time of year to start. My husband goes back to Iraq in 3 weeks. So, I think I am going to have to wait until he leaves. He will be gone for 6 months. I would to surprise him when he gets back! Congrats to all of you with the will power to stay on track during the holidays! Hopefully, after Christmas I can start and stick with a plan!

I lost 156.8 lbs on WW (yes, I know, I was a heffer, LOL). Anyway, throughout my 3 years of being on program, I had several weeks where I stayed the same. It's quite normal. So, never ever beat yourself up over it or get upset. At least you didn't gain, right? :)

But then I had my first baby, gained weight and now have a goal to lose 42 lbs.
I started a weight loss program on my own Oct 18th (not WW again, too expensive) and lost 13 pounds the first week, gained 2 the second, then 3 pounds the following week and now 6 pounds this week.
Only 22 lbs to my goal. WHOO HOO!!!!

We can ALL do this!!!!

None- but I'm trying, lol!!

Chelle said...

if i say i lost 10 pounds this week does it up my chances of winning? cause i would totally LIE to get my hands on chemistry!!! (and, the other wonderful things too, of course!!)

i have yet to get back on track, no gym at least, but eating is 'ok'...so no weighing to get me down...one day at a time on that front!

Remember how I said I was going to start going to the gym regularly again. Well... I haven't weighed my self since last week but I tried to put my jeans on today and I almost could fit. One deep breathe and adjusted pockets did the trick. I really need to exercise. I like Weigh in Weds, it's putting a little needed pressure in the right spots.

I weighed in this morning and there was no change, but I am thrilled with that since I had a bad eating week last week. ;o) smiles...

Well... I don't own a scale -- so I can't tell you much about my weight. (crazy, huh!?!) But... I'm sure some CC yummy goodies would be too sweet to help me get into my 'skinny jeans'. Forget the jeans! I'd love the blog candy instead! :)

What a yummy give away. Always love blog candy.

good luck with the weigh in!

well, I have neither gained nor lost either. I've not been feeling well so working out has been a struggle. I'm mostly glad the scale has not gone up. And, there are still a few days to work out extra hard in preparation for the big meal next week!

NO change for me:( Which is OK, beacause I have not tried this past week. But now I'm inspired to get movin' again!

I wish all you girls success with however much you want/need to lose. It's great to have support along the way.
I wish it was as much fun losing the pounds as it was putting them on.
I love the Christmas tree and decorations. They would look great at my place. hehehehehe

I lost my weight on WW... so I am on maintenance... and I stayed the same. Thank goodness for jogging last night at the Y!

This is my first comment and it could not be on a more sensitive subject matter ...weight! I have gained twenty ponds since January. I have just gone back on my carb-restricted diabetic diet and have promised myself...if I do good...I will buy myself every piece of Mr. Campy I can find and it will be my sweets!!! Thanks for the inspiration !!!

I'm excited! Very excited~about the prize you mentioned for this week, but NOT about my weight.
In all my extensive research on weight loss, hitting a plateau is "normal", and patience is a good thing. Hang in there, Baby!

I don't wanna weigh in.....I did that for my annual physical and my Dr is mad at me. All I can say is I'm glad I can't bake this year(waiting for new floor in kitchen to be installed so stove is out on service porch) I love to bake and love my own products and I would LOVE to win the kit to take my mind off this!

Jessica said...

Holding steady this week but at least its not a gain. Looking forward to Christmas and the temptations. Cant gain from smelling closely can you?

R. Dorrian6 said...

Ugh! Dh was out of town and instead of making "real" food the kids and I hit the fast food. I should know better. Those fries & burgers do me in every single time. I gained 1.5lbs. I guess the ice cream didn't help either. Oh well you fall off the horse you just get back on and try again.

I don't weigh myself, but I am increasing my exercise time for overall fitness and the lbs will come off as a result. I'll measure my progress by how I feel and how my clothes fit. This week I have exercised one more hour than I usually do, so I am on my way. A different approach to the same goal. :)

Jenn said...

That's too cute! I hope I win. Thankfully I am out of town and unable to weigh myself! Yea to oblivion.

Unknown said...

Fortunately, my scale is packed up until we move on Friday....but I'll be weighing in once things are unpacked!

I continue to maintain.(WW Life-timer)

I weighed in yesterday and I'm happy to report that I lost that pesky 1.5 pounds from last week!

melita said...

oh my...that is just wonderful! i am just trying to maintain during the holiday season and try not to gain 5 pounds like I did last year! It took me all year to get rid of it, so for me, I just want to keep it steady!

Maureen said...

I don't even dare going near the scale today! Hubby brought me home an orange creamsicle shake to cheer me up and I can only imagine the calories in that thing!

Angie said...

This project is super cute! I didn't weigh myself today, because I'm trying not to dwell on the pounds... and because I didn't exercise today. I know! I need to get off my lazy butt...

Mrs. Nancy G said...

I packed my scale... but I am guessing that I'm up a couple of pounds for retaining water.

Hopefully the pounds will melt away after we leave Barrow. For some reason you automatically gain 20 pounds once you walk off the plane.

;-)

I haven't weighed myself yet... I'm a little scared actually.... I'm trying to loose some pounds but it's very hard... and the holidays are coming!!!! nooooooo....
