The Girl Who Dies With The Most Paper Wins

Happy New Year everyone! Are you loving 2009 yet? Well, I am. I had this total rush of energy yesterday. Maybe it was my new diet challenge with Lindsay (see entry below). Maybe it was getting the high score on Dance Dance Revolution. Maybe it was just having a fresh, new year with no mistakes in it.

Whatever it was, I went into my office. Looked at all my piles of creativity sitting around and got inspired to clean things out. If you're like me, you know that managing all your paper and scrapbooking supplies can be a tricky thing. Now imagine that each time you need a sheet of paper, your helpful business partner brings you three or four kits of paper from that line....... so that he won't have to run paper to your house as often. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying it really starts to add up.

But, lucky for you because I have lots of paper that I don't need. Some of it is cut, some packages are opened and no longer complete. Some are just like they'd be off the store shelf. The thing is, CHA is right around the corner and I'll have lots more packages of paper delivered to my house. And, although I love lines like Gretel, Dutch Girl and Hello Sunshine, I have to move to the new lines and the older ones, will be lonely, just sitting on the shelf.

So, I've put together four sets of leftovers. There are complete paper crafting kits from Dutch Girl and Halfway Cafe. There is leftover Blackboard, Buck Naked Chipboard, Ready Set Chipboard, Die-cuts, stickers, paper pads and loads and loads of paper and scraps. There has to be over $100 of product, maybe even $200, in each set. All you have to do is tell us your plans for the new year whether it's a resolution or goal or just something good you hope will happen. We'll enter all names into a drawing. The lucky winner will be announced on Tuesday morning when Larry the Temp will have his debut....... I wonder what he knows about our new releases?

****UPDATE**** There seems to be some confusion. The picture above will be one person's prize. I have three other sets similar in product and amount that will be the other three people's prizes. Yes, I do have A LOT of stuff. I think it's safe to say that I might be the girl with the most paper.

My creative goal is to finish the two large projects I have started before March and then reorganize and prioritize after that.

great giveaway... I assume come March, i will be also weeding out the old to add new :)

Wow love to get my hands on this prize... (could that be one goal?)
There's so many things I would love to acheive each and every year but I just enjoy each day, if I needed to do anything this year would be to get the plans of my wedding in 2010 started and tone up for the gorgeous dress!
Thanks Kim

My goal is to lose weight. I've done it before and gave up but I'm done making excuses. I have to do it for my health.

My goals for the new year...hummm.... 1) Create more. 2) Try to get published. 3) Be more deliberate about finding time to scrapbook.

One good thing we hope will happen for our family this year would be for my husband to find a new job!

Janet said...

1. Love better than I did last year.
2. Stop worrying about what's in the mirror.
3. Create more - in paper, paint, fabric & thread, photographs, any and every medium I can try.
4. Paint every day.
5. Organize my craft room!
6. Celebrate the people around me - strangers as well as friends

Karen said...

One of my goals for the new year is to stop hoarding supplies and use them with abandon. There are always new things coming out that I want so I will use the old recklessly. (if not, I am afraid I will wind up on Oprah with her saying I don't know how people can live with so much clutter) I vow to give the goodies a good home where they are loved and USED.

Unknown said...

1) Live a healthier life.
2) Be more tolerant of others.
3) Create more, be less critical of my attempts, get published.
4) Focus on organization in all aspects of my life.

Thanks for the chance to score a ready-made paper stash!

My Resolution? Finish as many UFO's as possible by 12/31/09. Unfinished objects (projects). I'm gonna be painting, stitching, knitting, crocheting, scrapping, and more this year - just to finish stuff I've already got goin' but haven't gotten completed! I've just got to make a list of all of the items I need to finish so I can enjoy crossing them off as I finish them up!! Yay!

Thank you for the opportunity to win! I would be donating half to the Brownie troop my daughter is a member of and half to the Wolf Cub Scout troop my son is a member of (gotta do the same for twins you know!LOL!)
Happy New Year!!!

My goal this year is to make a scrapbook about my husbands life. Titled 'The Measure of a Man'

I have been scrapbooking for 4 years now. EVERYTHING I have made has been given away as a gift to Family and Friends.

This honestly will be the first thing I will make for myself in memory of Donnie who was a carpenter by trade for 25 years.
We were together for 7 years.
Unfortunately 2 years ago this coming March he had been diagnosed with cancer. The battle was lost October 2007 - just a short 6 months later. He was taken from me to soon. We had so many plans for the future.

My goal last year was just to get through each day minute by minute. This year it is day by day. I am hoping this album will help me with the loss of the most wonderful man I have ever met. He was my world and is greatly missed.

As for paper - I hate to say this but my patterned paper alone is taller than I am which is 5'4". This does not include page kits, pads or cardstock.

Roxanne said...

My goal is to have our house sold by March so our family can be together. Once said is done--clean and purge all things and scrap daily.

I don't have too many resolutions for 2009. But one of them is to use more of the paper I already have instead of buying more everytime I go to a scrapbookstore. But if I win this great prize, I'll just forget my good resolutions. No problem.

Live, Laugh and Love. Seriously. That's my goal for this year. I've spent a lot of time hiding out away from people because I trample toes easily (tough being raised in the North while loving South of the Mason-Dixon), and this year I plan to continue to live the way I had before moving here... To gain friendships, mend friendships and laugh as often as possible. And to love...my husband, my parents and sister...and most especially, love myself. That's this year's goal! Well, that, and scrapping... ;)

My New Year's Resolution for this year is to FOCUS. I have a great tendency to go off track eg start unstacking the dishwasher....step on a crumb.....start sweeping....move the basket of clothes and start folding....catch something on TV....and it goes on. The dishwasher is still full of dishes, the broom is leaning against the wall, the clothes are half folded...get the picture.
One thing I AM GOOD at is playing with patterned papers, I can do that all day long. LOL

Holy Scrapbook paper! How much fun could we all have with this!
I'm working on my scrapbook room to become more organized. I'm so frustrated setting something down and those little "creatures" jump up on my table and take my things and hide them! I hope to put my little creature friends to rest this year :)

My resolutions are things I INTEND to complete, not I think I might.

Finish all of our travel albums.

Haven't had a cigarette since the Jan 1st, intend to quit completely.

I lost 75 pounds over 2 years and have put 10 back on in the last 5 months. I intend to lose the last 10 pounds and keep it off.

Become more diligent in excerising.

Hmmm...

Accept each day for exactly what it is, and try to complete a paper project anyway.

Admit I am powerless over my paper addiction, and hide my paper purchases better in 2009.

Adore myself enough to make an album about me, and forgive myself when I choose to work on my kids stuff instead.

Act with greater kindness, love and respect to all of those talented artists I secretly scraplift ideas from throughout the year. Afterall I will really need them in 2009.

My 2009 goal is to simplify -
the house
the budget
the papercrafting
and have more time to enjoy the blessings of friends and family. (We almost lost one of those due to a heart attack in 2008.)

Responding to the wakeup call!!
Thanks for a chance to win.

Wow, what a fantastic prize. I would love to win that. I have been blessed with 4 new grandchildren in 2 years. My children decided to get busy all at one time.3 boys and 1 girl. A few of my 6 New Years resolutions are: (1) Enjoy every moment I can with the grandchildren. (2) Keep their scrapbooks up to date.
