The Girl Who Dies With The Most Paper Wins

Happy New Year everyone! Are you loving 2009 yet? Well, I am. I had this total rush of energy yesterday. Maybe it was my new diet challenge with Lindsay (see entry below). Maybe it was getting the high score on Dance Dance Revolution. Maybe it was just having a fresh, new year with no mistakes in it.

Whatever it was, I went into my office. Looked at all my piles of creativity sitting around and got inspired to clean things out. If you're like me, you know that managing all your paper and scrapbooking supplies can be a tricky thing. Now imagine that each time you need a sheet of paper, your helpful business partner brings you three or four kits of paper from that line....... so that he won't have to run paper to your house as often. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying it really starts to add up.

But, lucky for you because I have lots of paper that I don't need. Some of it is cut, some packages are opened and no longer complete. Some are just like they'd be off the store shelf. The thing is, CHA is right around the corner and I'll have lots more packages of paper delivered to my house. And, although I love lines like Gretel, Dutch Girl and Hello Sunshine, I have to move to the new lines and the older ones, will be lonely, just sitting on the shelf.

So, I've put together four sets of leftovers. There are complete paper crafting kits from Dutch Girl and Halfway Cafe. There is leftover Blackboard, Buck Naked Chipboard, Ready Set Chipboard, Die-cuts, stickers, paper pads and loads and loads of paper and scraps. There has to be over $100 of product, maybe even $200, in each set. All you have to do is tell us your plans for the new year whether it's a resolution or goal or just something good you hope will happen. We'll enter all names into a drawing. The lucky winner will be announced on Tuesday morning when Larry the Temp will have his debut....... I wonder what he knows about our new releases?

****UPDATE**** There seems to be some confusion. The picture above will be one person's prize. I have three other sets similar in product and amount that will be the other three people's prizes. Yes, I do have A LOT of stuff. I think it's safe to say that I might be the girl with the most paper.

FABULOUS PRIZE!!! This year I plan to be more intentional - be proactive in my life instead of allowing circumstances to dictate what happens, and eliminate time-and-energy-draining things from my life - relationships that don't work, projects that no longer interest me, etc. Also adopt a more enduring "attitude of gratitude" - I pay attention for awhile, then forget...I need to not forget! Happy New Year!

wow, what a crazy awesome generous giveaway!

My Goal is to pick one day a week and be completely unplugged: no TV, no Internet, no cell phone, no iPod.

Love your post title, that is my motto! I try not to make resolutions because that usually means that it won't get done but in 2009 I hope to (among other things) create more, eat healthier, exercise more, laugh out loud often, cuddle more with my kids, and stop worrying about the unimportant small things.

Oh, my goodness! That's a lot of stuff and great stuff too - I love Cosmo Cricket.

My goal is to scrap a page a day! I accomplished it last year and two years before that. I started scrapping late in life and I've got lots of catching up to do (I just turned 60) Plus, I love to scrap. My desk is located between the living room and the dining room, so I'm still part of the family even though I'm scrapping.
This is my baby son's senior year of high school so that means more and more photos. By the way, Jack's World worked really great with a teenager photos!

My word this year is COURAGE. My grandfather, who I help care for, is on hospice so this year our family will have to face some life changing events which will require courage. I am involved with a new church launching team and this year we will work like never before. I need to get healthy and lose weight. That will require courage to follow through on exercise/eating plans.

I hope to make this year the year i grow more. I have been a Stay At Home Mom for 8 years now and want to venture out and explore some job opportunities from home. I need to not be scared of change but embrace it. I would also like to continue to slowly change my life style to make it more health. (they say a slow change is better than a fast one) After a year of stress and loss in my life I hope to feel more at peace and relaxed. And another goal would be to try and meet some of my Scrappy friends I have made in other parts of the U.S.A.
I hope 2009 brings my family and I happiness and all the the folks out there having a hard time in 2009 I wish you all PEACE !!!

Wow. All of that paper looks so gorgeous. I'm not setting resolutions this year, but more like areas to focus on. Mine are:
Something to change- work on spending habits by making a budget and saving up better for unexpected expenses.
Something to maintain- keep pushing myself to do things outside my comfort zone by talking to people and speaking up.
Something to improve- become more involved by volunteering more often.

Also, I would love to keep my craft space more organized, but we all know that's more wishful thinking than anything!

Dang girl, It sure does look like you are the girl witht he most paper! What a great way for you to make room for the new! Thank you for the chance at some awesome goodies!

I didn't really make any resolution this year. I'm 2.5 months pregnant and have a toddler. I don't need anything else to keep me busy... haha Although, my scrapping also keeps me busy. I do have a few scrapbooking goals for this year though. I want to get my wedding album done, at least 75 Christmas cards made for next Christmas and to get started on my son's 1st year album(s).

Just a little bit Crafty said...

My resolution for this year is FOCUS.
I have a huge tendency to stray from anything that I attempt. So this year I plan to stay focused. The word will be on my blog, my craft room wall, the fridge and even if I have to, stamped on my forehead. LOL

Rene said...

My goal for this year is to get my craft room really organized so that things are where I can find them and use them easily. I want to have more time to create and then share more of my work. Thanks for the chance to win!

I don't really have a new New Year's resolution. It's a continuation of something I'd already been doing. I started an intensive workout program last June and I intend to stick with it this year as well as I stuck with it the 6 months of last year.
Oh - and I plan to scrap MORE than last year (and that's a lot)!

So Many Scraps said...

I don't have a resolution but instead I have picked a word to focus on for the year. This is my 3rd year doing it this way and this year my word is SEEK. I am working on the layout for word but this year I have decided to do a layout at the beginning and the end of the year on my word for the year, showing at the end how I did!

Heather said...

I have 6 things that I am working on this year, eatting less, having an attitude of gratitude, Scrapping more, Enjoying Life/Homeschooling, Being more organized. I made a little tag book to keep me on track with my goals!!

Well, I'm sitting reading blogs after hours of working on making a dent in organizing my craft room--have even more hours to go -- BUT!!! I *DO* need more paper(how did you know!?!), because as you know ---there is nevah enough paper!! [insert mad laugh here](tho I think you actually might be the one with the most! LOL!!
My plans for '09 including more scrapping and card making and better organization. Oh yeah, and the annual loose weight goal! tee hee

My goal this year is to eat healthier and exercise more. As for scrapping I want to complete more layouts and stay organized.

Wow that's a lot of candy! My goal is to organise, organise and organise some more. Not just my house but my time too....especially my online time. That way I'll have more time to craft with all the goodies that are coming my way :-)

Latisha said...

A big goal is to buy our first home
I just got my first card published, so I want to submit more often, now that I know its possible.
Use what I buy and only buy what I love.
Scrapbook more often.
Make at least a card a day.
Be present in my relationships.
Make more awesome memories with my children.

Delia W said...

This year I will try to use something before I buy anything new (and maybe I should say, I should use a lot before I can buy something). This does not count if:
1) I win something (so please....).
2) I win the lotto, buy a new house, buy all the storage I can get my hands on and then SHOP.

Marilyn Hitterman said...

I will craft more this year, especially in making cards. This year I had problems for the first 5mos in moving my arm and hand due to a pinched nerve in my arm. The rest of the year was a wash because my sense of creativity was at an all time low!! This year is bound to be 100% better!!

Fiona Yeoh said...

OH MY GOD! that must be the motherload of cosmo goodies i've every seen!

to streamline my scrap purchases, which would definitely help if i got to win this ! so puhhhhhleaasseeee pick me :)

Catherine Couch Doucette said...

Wow...hmmm...I want to take more risks, and push myself to be more creative! I want to start scrapping about me and my family, not just our great kids. My Dad passed away almost 2 years ago and I'm just know feeling like maybe I can tackle scrapping about him.
Thanks for the opportunity!

I want to finish knitting my husband's sweater that I started about 15 years ago! And clear out clutter.

Yey! Finally a contest I might win! A fight to the finish... I am totally addicted to paper and my family laughs at me because I don't want to use my prettiest sheets. I have SO MUCH paper but I love it!! I do need to put some time into organizing but I am working on getting a job this year. I lost mine in December and it's been easy to find other things to do besides work on my portfolio. I need a kick in the pants!! So that is what I will be working on... getting my butt out on a job search so I can have disposable income to buy more paper!

My Scrap resolution for 2009 is to journal more! It's a BIG scrap flaw of mine.
A personal goal is to eat less fast food!!!

The word I am focusing on this year is joy. I want to find more joy, live with joy and give joy. Cosmo Cricket paper is defiantly something that gives me joy.

My plan for the coming year is to use up a lot of my current stash (of course, if I win, this candy will become a part of said stash) so I can cut down on the bulk of my supplies. This will really help with that goal, won't it?!

Awesome prize! Thanks for being so generous :)
My goal is to bring in some more money - so that means going out to work more ;)

My hopes for the year is that Larry the temp will give us a sneak peek sooner than the 6th... can't wait that long. ;)

Although I also need to clear out my stash, I'd love to get my hands on some of your stash too! :-)

My goal (and it is an impossible one) is to get more caught up. I'm currently about a year behind. I'd like to make that more like 6 months. But I think I'd need to quit my job and ship my kids off for a month for that to happen!

I have lots of plans this year. Starting with keeping busy while my Hubby is deployed (again)! We are also moving into a new house so I plan on purging lots of things to make my new house less cluttered. I also plan to lose about 20-30 lbs. by my baby sisters June wedding! Wow, I need to get busy!

My goals for 2009 are:
- to always have a handmade card for all the birthdays/occasions that come up that currently I have no card for.
- organize my craft room! I'm not aware of what I actually do have.
- scrapbook more
- love more
- spend more quality time with my family
- see the world with "new eyes"
- enjoy all the "little" moments
Here's to 2009!

Well...I don't like to fail so I'm not "officially" committing to a resolution.

But...like everyone else...I want to exercise more, eat better and get more sleep. With four kids it's not easy but I HAVE to do it.

Notice I didn't mention, "SCRAP MORE"....LOL....there's always time to scrap!!

Like my friend Napoleon says, "Luckeeee."
My resolution this year is to find the "old" me. After being a mom and wife so long I left some of the things I loved behind like eating chocolate ice cream for breakfast (highly recommended!) or painting my nails white with black tips. Just random fun stuff.

Oh my word, that is a LOT of stuff!!

I have several resolutions for this year:
1. Get organized - can't use it if I can't find it.
2. Get things done - stop procrastinating.
3. Pay off the bills - I don't like being in debt. At all.
4. Exercise - my back will never get better if I don't.
5. Create - just get in there and do it, without fear. Don't obsess about perfection.

Thanks, Julie, for offering some of your great stash. My goals for 2009 are to:

Whoa Momma! This is the mother-load of CC paper. I promise this is a good home, and it would be well taken care of here. Promise!

I am going to try and be more healthy in 2009, that will include eating right & exercising. This is also going to include doing a 365 challenge, where I feel this paper could come in real handy. I am not following a kit. I figure I could do it myself. So paper is needed.

Happy 2009 Cosmo Cricket, may you rock another year!

Other goals ~ save money, spend more time with my family, get healthy.

Holy Wow! That is an insane prize! How generous of you. Thank you so much!

For January, I'm doing the 21 day plan from the inspiring book "The Source" by Woodson Merrell. I started an art journal to document my 21 days. My intention with the journal it to keep me accountable. I certainly do not want a half started journal that says "I suck, I lasted two days".

Happy New Year

I love your papers - thanx for the inspiration and chance at t'rific blog candy!

That's a lot of stuff!! My goal for 2009 is the lose weight, but then again who doesn't?? My goal is to also scrap more and now that my new scrap room is completed I can shut myself away and scrap!! woohoo!! My goal is to scrap for myself and my family, and not the scrap forumn I belong to. I find myself trying to impress them, more than scrapping for my family and that is totally wrong!

I have some big hopes in a couple of areas... First since my husband has been laid off, I hope to become recertified in my teaching field and possibly secure a job for the fall in case he is not able to find something (Michigan's economy is not the greatest in case you didn't already know that). I wasn't really wanting to do this until next year, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do... Secondly I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to finally get my act together and apply for a design team at my local LSS (even better if I could be selected) and would love to get a few more things published electronically and eventually in a print magazine. Keeping my fingers crossed that all works out!!!

Mary Eisen said...

Ok, you and I must think alike. I had that same must clean up feeling and so I talked the hubby into building me shelves and now I can see my stuff all at once (and so can he - which prompted him to say on three different occaisions - you have to stop buying!) My goals is to get birthday cards out early each month to everyone and give out thank you cards as much as possible. To take a picture every day - and then do something with it and finally make stuff with all the stuff I have!

Julie Overby said...

If I died right now...I would DEFINITELY be the one to win! However, one can NEVER have enough Cosmo Cricket paper (so I don't know what you're talking about!) Even if it's lonely, don't you like to just walk by and run your fingers over it? Maybe pick it up and smell it ever once and while?

Well, if you must find a happy home I'd be happy to help you out. I can promise you that your paper will live a happy cut up life here with me.

My resolution is to complete more mini albums that are a bit easier for the kiddos to sit and look through. The 12x12 piles are gettin' a bit to high!

Happy New Year!
