DVD Envelopes

After you make you home movies. You might want to give them as gifts to family and friends. Even if you just keep them for yourself, it's fun to have a cute envelope to store them in.

To make your own cd cases, cut a 6x10" rectangle of paper. Score it down the middle at the 5" mark.

On one half (it doesn't matter which, but this will become the back side) you need to cut off a 1/2" strip from the score line all the way down on both sides of the paper. I know this sounds confusing, but it's really simple. What you should have now is a 5"x6" rectangle on one side of the score line and a 5" square on the other side of the score line.

Fold the paper on the score line.

Fold the overhanging 1/2" strips over to the other side and glue down.

If you want, use a circle punch to make a "pull-out" section like mine.

Then just embellish away! I had fun using the "throw-away" parts of the Honey Pie stickers to make my background.

Home Movie

Home Movies can be quite boring usually. But if you keep them really short and add music even complete strangers will enjoy watching them. And it’s another great way to preserve your memories.

Full of Wonder

Here's my littlest guy, Jack. He is turning three in a couple months, but in this photo (taken by my sister, Becky Reed) he was one. He has always been the happiest thing. Every time he sees you, his eyes light up as if to say, "What wonderful thing is going to happen to me next?"

I used Cogsmo (of course) with the blackboard...... I really do love this stuff! The white arrow is a dashed line rub-on (from Cogsmo also) that I added an arrow point and starting circle to with Tim's Inksentials white pen.

People Who Can't Dance

I really don't know why we insist on humiliating ourselves, except that it is fun!

Updates

We got Jon back with a "no-questions-asked" reward. He is super busy in the warehouse, which should keep him out of trouble for at least a little while.

We are working on getting images of the projects shown on air with the TSV. Those projects were sent to CK by mistake. We'll keep you posted. If you send us photos of your TSV projects, I will compile them in our gallery for everyone to share.

Something's Different at Booth 1351

The Booth is all set up and looking good!

Notice the back wall art! These are enlarged versions of the Blackboard shapes from the Get Happy and Cogsmo Collections. But, more importantly, they will make for fun photo's at the end of the show when we are all feeling a bit crazy!

Ahhh, the crowds! Our free paper pads were gone in about 10 minutes! You could say the Cricket was Hoppin'!

Watch out ladies, here are the Cosmo Men!

It's funny, but even other manufacturers seem to get great ideas in the Cosmo Booth. This is our friend Mark Hillard with Prism Papers.

I wish I could remember what he was looking at! Don't worry Tehawna, it's probably just a scrapbooking layout!

This was Eric's idea.

We had a great show! Thanks for supporting us and making CHA a blast! One last note, there was no alcohol consumed in the making of these photos. We are naturally this insane!

Have You Seen This Person....

Jon's been abducted. Here's what we know:

8:45 Jon shows up unexpectedly at our booth #1351.
9:00 Jon is mobbed by a crowd of excited women.
9:10 Free paper pads are all gone. The stores want more.
9:15 Suddenly the crowd of women hoist Jon on their shoulders and start to carry him away.
9:20 Jon is spotted being carried out of the convention center.

The only clue we have to go on is a trail of Jon's My Hero buttons leading from the convention center to Disneyland. Orders will not ship if we don't get Jon back. Save Jon!

Important Information

We are off to the show! I've packed 200 paper pads to give away to the first 200 stores at our booth. I figured that was more important than clean clothes.

I've been reading on some of the boards, that you would like more ideas on using the TSV. You know I'm always watching out for you ladies, so I'll be posting layouts, projects, cards and more made with the TSV kit. Check for them after CHA.

CHA or BUST

Using the company credit card I got a plane ticket to CHA. Meet me on Sunday at booth #1351. After all, the first 200 stores to get to the booth and tell Eric, Julie and Lindsay that they can't fire me for this will get a free 8x8" paper pad.

Jon's Rehabilitation

Although Jon has made some bad choices recently, I truly believe there is good in him. I have started him on Cosmo Cricket's Rehabilitation Through Scrapbooking Program or the CCRSTP. I think he is making excellent progress. I was impressed with the emotion I saw in his most recent video. I believe he can be reformed into an upstanding member of society and maybe even make employee of the month in the future...... should his progress continue. I don't think we'll be having any more difficulties with him. He seems truly penitent for his wrong doing. He won't be stealing company secrets or anything else for that matter anytime soon. I'm just sure of it.

Here's a close up of his first project. I particularly like how the Blackboard has been edged with blue pastel. I think future training with him will focus on handwriting. To see the full sneak peek, click here.
