ReplyDeleteMy husband of 43 years is just about the most perfect man. I've had severe chronic pain for the last 15 years and there's nothing my husband won't do for me. He cleans the house, vacuums, washes floors AND windows, cooks, does laundry, and drives me anywhere I want. Years ago he wanted me to teach him how to sew and he then made a reversible silk vest for himself and kitchen curtains! He's truly a Renaissance Man!!

ReplyDeletemy favorite thing - I am the quite type who is doesn't like to speak in front of groups of people. My husband is a talker and very easily lectures to hundreds of students each week. He has told me over and over that he is ready at a moments notice to take any speaking assignment off my hands. Even those that are requested on the spot during a church meeting!

ReplyDeleteOkay so this is sappy but I love how comforted and protected that I feel anytime when I'm lying in the crook of hubby's shoulder while watching TV. It always makes me fall into a very restful sleep. I know that sounds silly but I don't sleep very good at night. Sadly, he's had some pain in that shoulder/arm for the past year so I don't get this luxury as much anymore :( psst.. I also love that he always wants to look at my layouts and any goodies that I might purchase!

My favorite thing about dear husband is that no matter what I have done, he has always supported me, even when it has caused rifts in his family. I never asked him to chose them or me, and yet he's so willing to chose me quicker than his own bloodline.

She is really important to me at the moment, MORE important to me than my special someone. We rescued her from being abused and she is slowly becoming more and more open with us. Bringing flowers to me or one of our girls and just stopping by the son's place of work or his 93 old mother or 102 old aunt's to go to lunch just because he knows we need a little extra love for whatever reason.

After being single (and perfectly content) karma threw one in my path. We will be married 7 years in April and he is the sweetest man in the world. He treats me like a princess and my 4 sons both love and respect him. Without going into details-my oldest is 2 years older than my "boytoy" hubby. Take that Demi!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about my husband, is that before he goes to work in the morning, he gives me a kiss on the forehead and says "I love you" and when he comes home from work, he gives me a hug and a kiss and says "I love you".
That is also the thing I miss most when he is deployed, he is a US Navy Helicopter Pilot.
I think if you were to ask my kids they would say he is really cool and he is their hero.
My favorite thing about my husband is his understanding. Just this week he showed how understanding he can be when my cousin passed away after an 18 month battle with cancer. He called me from work to check on me and told me that he thought I should just scrapbook to make myself feel better.

After almost 38 years there are so many things I could say. He had an active part in raising 2 children into independent adults. He is a special grandfather. But, most of all he took care of me when there was a life threatening health issue and after all these years, he still loves me.

Of course I could say the obvious things about my DH. He's a wonderful husband and father. But another favorite thing about my DH is that he supports my scrappy hobby. He even took a day off from work last year to watch the kids so that I could go to CKC!

I can't break it down to one thing. My DH is the best father, husband and friend I could have asked for and he supports all my crafting habits so you can't beat that!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about my husband is that he takes care of us, even when he is deployed or away from home because of the military. He always makes sure we have what we need and even what I want. He does what he can to make sure our daughters and I are happy.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is the absolute best, in 13 years he's never yelled, has the patience of a saint and always puts his needs last. Oh yeah, even though I'm type A control crazy he still tells me he loves me everyday!
